I'm sorry for your health conditions, @vibesforlife. I am 60 now and have suffered some of my own over the years. It's not easy to be sick and everyone wants to tell you how to feel better even if they do not suffer the same thing.
You seem to have a wonderful attitude despite it all. I think the best you can do is keep that optimism, keep trying different ideas and stick with what helps. We never know when our end will come. It is the day-to-day that matters most.
Glad that you can connect with my experience. As i am growing older, there is a fact that has enlightened my soul : You need to feel some things to be able to understand them.
Being sick is one of those feelings.
My mother is a person who has fought many big diseases, While taking care of here I just used to blabber "you will be fine dont worry"
But when I got sick and I was in pain, I literally started wishing death on me. I could not take the pain and thought I better die, my perfect body is gone. I could not feel my lungs and felt that I am gonna feel them again.
All this made me realised, its easy to say "you will be fine to a sick person", but the feel is altogether different.
You are so right about that, @vibesforlife. It is impossible for a healthy person to understand someone who is sick - especially with something chronic. Support groups save me often so that I can connect with people who understand.
Yeah that is so true,
sometimes people can only understand after they have sufferred themselves.
