Hey y'all! It was a quiet week in NM on the posting side, but I don't think I've seen a busier week for our growing community! @riverflows and the rest of the crew have been hard at work renovating things in the discord and adding on new rooms in our big big house! New members, new channels, new admins, new projects, even a whole new branch were added to our community! I can barely keep up!
While all that was happening, the NM posts were a bit quiet. While that makes my job curating a bit easier, I do love being inundated with NM information.
In case you were wondering how we chose posts to be featured in these curations, we favour:
- original articles
- a blend of personal stories and facts/research (either anecdotal or otherwise) to engage the reader
good images or photos - novel or interesting approaches to self care through natural remedies
- content that makes us go aaaaaaaaahhhhh
If you'd like help making your posts pop, please let us know - we're here to help you succeed!
With the recent rush of mindfulness that's come over NM, that topic was brought to the front of our thoughts. For me, that came with the realization that I may be a hippie. @huntergeek showed us a nice guide to mindfulness and what it is, with some simple steps to try and incorporate it into our lives. Check out their post here. They write:
You can use the 3 Breaths technique to anchor your awareness firmly in the present. It’s so easy you can do it right now as you’re reading this. Simply bring your attention to your breath – breathe in slowly and gently, following the path of your breath with your mind.
With our big plant medicine challenge in it's third iteration, @porters wowed with a post on Mullein! A strong and helpful ally. Check out her post here. She writes:
My son had problems with his lungs and we made hot infusions, mullein leaf tea, and also dried some of the leaves combining it with colts-foot for smoking to relieve congestion in his lungs. Sore throats will respond well to the hot leaf tea too.
@bucksforaging15 helped us remember the plant medicines in our everyday weeds with his post about Blessed Thistles! Check out his post here. They write:
The blessed thistle is still today used as a common herbal medicine to cure and treat the ill. The plant is used to promote gastrointestinal health, help detoxify the liver, contains anti-inflammatory qualities, and can stimulate breast milk production in new mothers.
@artemislivrs spoke of Color Therapy in her post about Cassia trees.
Our dear @alchemage showed us a decoction of mineral salts from a hot spring he visited with his partner.
And I made a post on my beloved little turkeytails that I hope can be a great benefit to others.
Thanks so much for the support this week y'all! We feel the love and send out more right back to you! 💚🍄💚🍄💚🍄💚 Be blessed!
great work, thank you!
Thanks for putting this together so I can catch up on some of the awesome Natural Medicine posts!
Thanks for giving my mullein post a shot out too!
@naturalmedicine team, When community grows then initially process can move little bit at slower side but over the period of time definitely Naturalmedicine posts will inspire more people for sure. Have a awesome time ahead team.
