I love the stevia plant and it is a perennial although a tender perennial so I have to bring it indoors for the winter and it has been a mainstay for us since we took sugar out of our diet.
I find you really have to be careful when you buy stevia for it is getting harder to find just the stevia leaf extract without anything added - also the process they use to extract it can effect how it tastes.
