Can't wait for my puppy!!!

Well as we get closer to the surgery thing we are getting more excited because that means that we have a puppy dog coming here very shortly.

Being patient is the biggest part of this entire thing. However I have been able to be patient and I am enjoying being dog free for a little bit.

However that being said I still absolutely and totally miss my dog.

He was amazing.

Being experienced within the German Shepherd world I was easily able to pass the interview process. As well I also gained extra points for being experienced as a trainer and able to manage a working breed German Shepherd.

There is a huge difference between German Shepherds just Brad for being a pad and German Shepherds have been bred for a job and work.

I am going to be getting a working breed German Shepherd and while this is going to be training myself to a wild puppy dog, his drive and intelligence will be huge parts in helping me as a service dog.

I have definitely noticed over the past month since the fateful day of August 18th 2020 that having a dog encourages me to be more active and to get up and move around more.

Losing such an incredible companion has left me pretty depressed. Which at times comes and goes.

I am absolutely very lucky that I am able to be in a position that I can afford to get my puppy dog and as well having a new home for both of us during this winter that is coming.

Which I am definitely going to be very excited for the opportunity to bond and get absolutely as close as I can with our connection.

And also I'm kind of thinking about after I get my puppy dog and I'm healed up a little bit from the surgery during this very hard winner that I expect is coming because of the massive amount of snowfall I am expecting.

Having the cold temperatures will force my puppy dog into learning all about the snuggle command. Let alone providing me a really renewable and eco-friendly heat source.

When temperatures dip that low and your bodies reaction to get next to another living creature to share warmth, will absolutely build a connection and trust.

When I had gotten Zeus it was actually in November and I used this trick for an immediate as well as deep and lasting Bond.

It is actually pretty crazy how effective using temperatures and sharing body heat helps to build that connection between you two.

Definitely the best part I see about that situation is the fact that I get to snuggle and loves on a puppy dog.

Now I should probably talk about Land sharks...

Apparently from 4 to 24 months old German Shepherds turn into this demon spawn.

I'm not sure who to give credit for this picture but it has been shared to death in the German Shepherd groups so I decided to grab a copy of it to share here. I am definitely going to give credit to the Creator because this is absolute truth.

During the land shark years with Zeus he ate:

he ate the sun visor seat I take that back multiple seats in the Camaro.

the back window of the Miata as well as chewed the gear shift and I do believe the back seat as well.

The van. Well he ripped out the weather stripping seal for the driver side window. He also ripped apart his seat. He of course one day decided to s*** all over the door and his seat. One day he had to go potty and crapped all over his sleeping bag.

Needless to say my dog has been particularly land shark so I have quite a bit of experience in dealing with those situations.

Really my best option for all that is to make sure that I redirect all of the chewing action into balls and chew toys.
