Hi,
What a wonderful post. I grew up in rural New York State--pears and apple orchards all around. So these pictures really delight me. My grandfather created a pear, which he named after his mother's family:
The DeVoe Pear. Here's a link that describes the pear:

Your posts are always relaxing excursions...besides being enlightening. Until next time :)

Hi,
Thank you for your nice feedback. After all the dealings with the realm of the dead I had to go back to life. ;) And where does life feel better than in nature?
Wow, your own family pear. 🍐 That's fantastic! I even found it on the website of a Spanish fruit export company: Grupo Catalá
Have a nice weekend. Warm greetings,
Anna
A Spanish vendor, offering my grandfather's pear! He would have loved that. Thank you so much. Farm is still going strong. Great, and great great grandchildren run it now.
Have a wonderful weekend
Warm regards from your fan from across the sea,
AG
Thank you very much! 🌻
Finally back from Hardfork Winter :))
Yes, at last! This time the breakdown seemed pretty long to me. But now everything is working fine again. :)
