Not all the creatures that live in the garden are welcome by gardeners, many don't like to have slugs around as they eat the new shoots on plants and are seen as a menace.
As the area around my pond is left to be as natural looking as possible I don't mind them being around and the damp conditions around the waterfall makes a good habitat for them. It's strange that people don't like slugs but are more inclined to snails, basically a slug with it's own house.
What is it?
In Denmark we call it the KILLERSLUG, because it kills salad and the like. It was mostly meant as a joke at first, because of the big fuss garden owners all over the country made. But now it has stuck and the dictionaries have recorded it. Nobody says Iberian Slug. Sadly my youngest, who is a little big-city girl is terrified of slugs for the same reason.
I guess they just look odd and therefore people tend to hate them
It should find some opposite gender to make home :-)
PATRICK!!
Did he run away from home?
Or maybe he was evicted,
It must be hard for him.
wow slug?? snake..
I like slugs and snails equally. Some are really pretty! But yes, it is better not to see them in the garden.
