Mother Nature's strangest form of life in the Plant Kingdom, I see in Cacti!!! Extremely strange and weird form of Cacti found all across the World. Learnt that the word "Cactus" derives, through "Latin", from the "Ancient Greek Word" called as "κάκτος", or "kaktos", originally used by "Theophrastus" for "Spiny Plants" whose identity was not certain, hence they were called as "Cactus".
Quite Surprisingly, Cacti were and are found at places where there is drought or water scarcity.
Astonishingly, the behaviour of Cacti is so very different from other plants, in the plant kingdom. Cacti are succulent, which means, they have the ability to store water and moisture in its thick fleshy layers, which is fairly hard and non-porous from outside and fleshy, slimy, juicy, succulent, inside. That's how they survive, in extreme weather conditions.
