We noticed a copperhead around the house and we started to worry for our animals. while playing with the dogs, one almost got bit by getting to close and not seeing him. the dogs were going nuts trying to play with it, they were in hunting mode! and i had no choice but to keep my boys safe, heather and i had to take it down. i dont like having to do this all the time, but the safety of your home and animals should come first. ill be setting up to tan hides if i find more near the house, i hate having to waste such a beautiful coloration.

Bummer! I wish snakes weren't venomous...then you wouldn't have to worry.
Indeed! We arent so much afraid of getting bit, because although painful, it wouldnt permanently hurt us, a chicken, rabbit, or small dog though....
