There are many beautiful birds on Earth. They are large, small, monochrome, multicolored. But all of them are wonderful. Here is a list of some most amazing birds.
Grey Crowned Crane.
Crowned Crane is a bird of the family of cranes, living in the east and south of Africa. The bird is one of the national symbols of Uganda and is depicted on its national flag and coat of arms. The height of the bird is about 106cm (41.7inch) and the weight is 3.5kg (7.6pound).
Atlantic puffin.
Atlantic puffins are seabirds. They spend most of their time in the sea, rocking on waves. They live on the coasts of Atlantic and Arctic oceans. They feed by fish.
American kestrel.
These birds are the smallest and most common falcons in North America. They are not only beautiful birds, but also dangerous predators. They feed by large insects, small birds, lizards and snakes.
Loriinae or Lories.
They are small, brightly colored parrots. They live in Australia, New Guinea, eastern Indonesia and Philippines. They feed mainly by pollen and nectar, as well as soft, juicy fruits. Their tongue ends with a brush of horny papillae. With their help, birds suck out the juice from the fruits and the nectar from flowers.
Northern cardinal.
This bird decorates the emblems of seven US states (Virginia, West Virginia, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio and North Carolina). Red Cardinal is a medium sized bird. They feed mainly by seeds and fruits of plants, as well as beetles, snails and elm leaves. Nestlings are fed by insects.
