Its very simple really. Livestock is responsible for the same amount as cars in global warming. All you have to do is eat less meat! Meat production requires a much higher amount of water than vegetables. IME state that to produce 1kg of meat requires between 5,000 and 20,000 liters of water whereas to produce 1kg of wheat requires between 500 and 4,000 liters of water. It takes 330 grams of carbon to raise a single serving of beef, that's like driving your car for 3 miles. For veggies, it takes only 14 grams of carbon but if you switched to lentils the number goes down to practically nothing (2 grams).Other benefits are that its a healthier diet and no animal had to die for your meal.So try having a nonmeat dinner once every week or 2 weeks and it will make a difference. It's really not that hard but it does make a huge difference. Your personal decisions really do help fight global warming!
