Another mushroom walk

in #nature6 years ago (edited)

Conditions have remained incredible for mushrooms in the north-east of the United States and so I decided to do some more hikes and foraging. The rains have been so intense lately that mushrooms that I normally do not see are emerging from the forest. I assume that their mycelium have always been in the forest and only now are conditions prime for them to fruit. I collected a small basket of black trumpet mushrooms to eat. They were delicious! Please enjoy my mushroom photos taken on my iPhone 8.
