The asphalt lake of Guanoco, Venezuela is one of the five largest natural asphalt lake in the world, with the other La Brea in Trinidad and Tobago, Rancho La Brea (Los Angeles), and McKittrick Tar Pits (McKittrick) and Carpinteria Tar Pits (Carpentry), located in the state of California, United States.
