The new Nano Reef is officially up and running. Just a list of equipment for anyone ever interested in getting into the hobby. I have been keeping aquariums for over 5 years.
Tank: Fluval Sea Evo 13.5Gallons

Includes Skimmer
I purchased from Maidenhead aquatics. Currently on sale for £149.99 including the protein skimmer. The tank kit also includes a return filter however I swapped out the return pump and modified a Hydra Nano Filter with an elbow piece to the tube connecting the return back into the display tank. As shown below
The kit does not come with a heater so I purchased a small 50watt Nano heater for £14.99 this will be adequate to get the temperature to 25/26 degrees.
The kit also includes a light however I have just ordered the Ai Prime HD which retails for £249.99 which is more than the tank however I grow coral from frags to colonies:
Therefore I prefer to use high end eco friendly light solutions.
The kit does not include a power head or wavemaker so I purchased one off of eBay that I know is good quality. The Jebao RW4 wavemaker unit with controller for £36.99. https://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/Jebao-RW-Aquarium-Programmable-Wavemaker-Fish-Tank-Wave-Flow-Pump-W-Controller/322875928809?hash=item4b2ce7b0e9:m:mqkmyrQiLhoRg0Aq1F9Rnvg
I spent just £15 on Fiji deadrock which I turnt live rapidly via Prodibio start up a French company I fully support.
4kgs on coral sand eBay aqua one sand: https://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/Aqua-One-Coral-Sand-2Kg-White/231799240870?epid=1753430873&hash=item35f84fb8a6:g:QyoAAOSwPc9W1Esv
This was enough to get the tank started. I weekly religiously water change due and dose multiple food supplements and eventually will have fish. Only high end clownfish
My aim is to pair Naked Clownfish and the Midnight Clownfish up so they become triple the value I will pay for them. I’m expecting them to be around £100 but paired worth roughly £300/500. I will continue the cycle of selling the pairs but re pairing high end Clownfish up of all kinds over the years.
I won’t list what’s in the tank stock wise untill I have abit more to offer as it’s still immature and don’t want to take risks.
Good job. I recently posted a picture of an aquarium too. It’s a freshwater setup for breeding angelfish.
