The run

Some people run for excercise or for loosing weight, and that is definitely good. There is another dimension to running though.
When we run in nature, somerhing deeper inside resonates with the surroundings. Perhaps an ancient gene remembering the act of hunting, which often invloved chasing the potential prey for a long distance.

After a few kilometers the body may still struggle, but the mind adjusts. A calm semi-trance mode is achieved. It has a singular purpose. In this process the run becomes becomes cathartic.
After all we mostly run for the mind, and those ancient memories stored in the genes..
