How We Think Like Mother Nature, More Than You Know It...

in #nature7 years ago (edited)

If you think this is post on making the world a better place, then no. You are dead wrong. Of course, making the world a better place is great! But whatever I say won’t have any major impact on anyone. Only you can have an impact on yourself. Anyway, that is a topic for another post.

As humanity has progressed, we have become more and more hostile towards nature. Chopping down trees, creating more pollution, Justin Bieber and so on. But among this chaotic order, I recognized a pattern. The more nature we destroy, the more of it we artificially create. For example, we clear out a forest area to build an ideal city. Now, every ideal city has transport facilities, cops, a system for governing the city, a hospital, and so on.

Now, think about the body of an animal, say, cats (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ. They have blood vessels (transport facilities), an immune system (cops), brain (governing the city), repairing system (a hospital), and so on. Spot the pattern?

So, you might be wondering as to what the counterpart of humans in city are in the cat’s body. The answer is… (cue drum roll) Blood Cells! Blood cells take food (money) from the liver (workplace) and send it to the different parts of the body (our expenses).

Hold on, the same can be said for a blood cell, an organism (@apsu , please don’t read it as orgasm), a house, a city, a state, a country, a planet… So doesn’t that make our planet a living being as well? ┏(^0^)┛┗(^0^) ┓

However, it doesn’t stop with just this.

Take a look at the ants’ hierarchical system.

I have a simplified version of the source for you guys!
Sure, my drawings are horrible, but its the content that you should be focusing on. Each society, irrespective of which species, follows the same set of societal rules.

It’s not over yet ༼ʘ̚ل͜ʘ̚༽! The designs for planes and high performance cars, radar and sonar, etc. were all inspired by their counterparts in the animal kingdom (eagles, bats, whales). Bonus for all those nerds out there: Quantum computers! They employ the very property of nature that has restricted us to progress further in normal computers: Superposition principle! To all those who want to know more about this, click here (fun YouTube video).

Why do we do so much in common with nature?

Millions of years of evolution has created the smartest of solutions to a variety of problems that appear in nature. We cannot know if there are better solutions, but as of now, they are the best solutions to our problems as well, cause, in the end of the day, we’re trying to recreate our own nature, but the troubles of doing so will be same everywhere. Some systems were directly copied from nature (airplanes), while others were created by trial and error for the best possible outcome, which happened to be nature’s selection (computers). So, till date, nature has the best solution. Do correct me if I’m wrong (◠﹏◠). The above answer is my own hypothesis.

This is just the summary of my upcoming thesis on “Man’s Nature System”. I would LOVE to hear your thoughts on this. Was it too long that I bored you, or too short that it wasn’t enough? Is the content high quality? And most importantly, is the post something that you enjoyed?
