After almost 3 weeks in the wilderness hunting elk, the time has come to start packing up and get ready to head home. I have been in the white Mountain Wilderness in New Mexico. I've had several opportunities to take an elk but I didn't because it wasn't a Sportsman's shot I don't want to just shoot an elk for the sake of trying to kill one. I feel privileged to have seen elk, deer, mountain lion, black bear, coyotes and more turkeys and I've ever seen in my life. After three weeks in the bush you start to really get home sick and I'm to the point now that I'm ready to go home and I think I'm going to start packing everything and get out of here in the next day or two.
