In order to get to the trailhead of the Narrows you will take the Riverside walk trail which is about a mile long, once at the entrance to the Narrows get ready to get wet! Hiking the Narrows requires you to hike in the Virgin River as there is no trail. There are parts along the river where you can hike out of the water and rest, have a snack or just sit back and take in the beauty of this place. The current can be strong at certain areas where you need to make sure you have your footing before moving forward and there were areas where we hiked though water that was up to our waist. However, we came prepared and we took our family, yes our kids, on this amazing hike. We carried our 2 youngest in packs and our 4 year old hiked along side us in the River. If you can't tell by this face above it was our kids favorite hike of the trip.
it is a fantastic area to hike- looks like your family had a great time. There's a great place to camp in Abique New Mexico if you ever get to NM
Thanks buddy
