Another beautiful creature from our Creator
Today my work found me putting in a new air conditioning unit at a home. Part of this job involves running electricity to the new air conditioner.
As I prepared to disconnect the electric for the old unit I opened up the electrical box and found this girl.
I could tell she wasn't happy with me being there. But I understood her standpoint, this is her home, and these are her babies and she's not going to let me hurt them. I also believe that she understood my standpoint. I have a job to do, so I can take care of my babies, and I'm going to do it.
I needed to install new wires for the air conditioning unit, and I needed to do to it inside of her cozy home.
I also had to do some other work in that area for the installation so we were able to hang out for about 3 hours total. During that time I watched her tend to her eggs and also watched her work on her nest a little bit.
As I Was preparing to finish up my work I noticed something pretty cool. She appeared to have a husband that had been hard at work all day and had returned home.
He immediately started tending to the babies and gave mama a break. That was pretty neat to watch.
I admired them for a short period longer and put their home back together for them. Sealing them and their family in safe from the weather and elements.
Then I left...ready to be in my home, with my babies too.
All photos in this post are my own
Great photos but don't let them sting ya!
This shows how beautiful your heart is but i am scared of bugs, would have ran back at first probably looking for a way to kill it :D, Thank you for sharing @johndoer123
There is no need to fear them. I have always found as long as when I am around of bees and wasps, as long as I keep love on my heart and then my mind and move with slow steady movements I have never been bothered by any. Thank you so much for taking time to look at my post though. That means a lot to me as always. And I also hope that you have a great day and that this weekend coming is wonderful also. And as always I send you all of my love.
That's so awesome! I'm glad to know that these wasps, at least, won't cause damage to the wires, etc.
I was out in the woods one day with someone who is allergic to a lot of these stinging insects and she was absolutely shocked by how calm I was when there was a hornet flying around in close proximity. I know they aren't likely to sting me if I'm calm. I'm not producing fear pheromone which would scare the hornet. Now if I mistakenly step on their nest, that's a different matter... but no reason to panic ahead of time.
Isn't that the truth. Don't panic. We used to collect hornet nests when I was young. We used to shalack them and sell them to help out the farm.
I'm a huge fan of all animals and nature, but those stingy little critters are way down on the list LOL.
Glad you both got what you needed to do without any pain.
The wife got a video of me getting stung by a wasp when I had to clear them from our place in Washington. I was no match with a thin stick, using it like a light saber. They were much more agile than I was accurate.
All you can hear is her laughing as I got one up my shirt and fall all over the ground like a giant fool.
The video got l picked up and spliced where he compared me to Fred Flintstone, Homer Simpson, the guy from Family Guy and Shaggy from Scooby Doo ..... No element warranted a Brand Pitt comparison LOL
Are you kidding me? Have you posted it? Or do you have a link to it from somewhere else? Or can you upload it here? Or maybe send it to me somehow? I REALLY WANT TO SEE THAT!!! America's Funniest videos is one of my favorite shows to watch. Me and Evan watch them all the time. We also love watching YouTube videos of trying not to laugh. 😂
I’ll find it 😉
I’m sure the wife has it saved some where.
😂😂😂
Wow great photos. I've seen these before but only in the forest. Near my home I only see the black and yellow variety. I don't like hurting them because they eat garden pests!
That's probably the reason why I didn't hurt them either. Every Creature here has a purpose, who am I the play creator and decide that I should get to kill one Just in spite? They never bothered me, so I would not think of hurting them.
You're a good person
Oow...they are a sweet family and you too @johndoer123, what you did was right by keeping they safe, I really appreciate what are you did, my friend and we should be nice to all creation.
Agreed. Thanks for your kind words.😊 Do you have wasps where you live?
yes, I once had a wasp nest in my kitchen room, he made his nest on a rope, I never bothered their lives until their eggs hatched and eventually they were gone now.
Very nice story. I think insects are so much fun to watch!
So touching... Not destroying their home is probably the best thing to do.. I like the way you were about to look at it from their own point of view and putting yourself in their shoes...you must be a kind and caring person in real life. If we have a lot of people like you the world will be a better place. 👏 👍
First, thanks for taking time to stop by and read my post. And secondly All I can say is that I try to be nice to everyone, even the the little critters. Thank you so much for your support! I hope you have a wonderful weekend!
Watch out! It really has a very nasty and painful sting!
Oh, yes I know.😀 I have been stung before. A lot when I was a kid. But that's because I would tease them. I really haven't had any problems with them since I have learned to leave them alone.
But if you happen to stumble unto them without knowing they're there, you would be shock!
