As I sit here in awwww and wonderment looking at this picture I took this summer -- nature always amazes me. We went to the zoo - one of our favorite places to be. I am teaching my kids to stop and smell the roses and learn that life is meant to be noticed, valued and appreciated. Do you know how many people take for granted that we have clean running water to drink, admire and utilize. Do you know that many people are too drunk or messed up on drugs to actually even notice that lands, mountains, rain, clouds, trees, flowers, birds, leaves, roadways, highways, people and especially family are alive and well. Do you want to know why? Because the only thing an addict or alcoholic is interested in -- is their next high or drink/drunken state to alter the way they feel and cope with life. It is a sad but true existence. I am so grateful every day for everything in my life -- especially my children, God and my life.
