Experiment # 1: (Non proven) Scientific methods were carried out by Famous Discovery Channel -- Mythbuster
2 years ago, Mythbusters Tory Belleci, Kari Bryan and Scottie Chapman did carried out several experiments using plant. To see whether kind words could really yield fertile results or bad words really "hurt" plant's feeling, the skeptical Mythbusters procured 60 pea plants and divided them into one of the cruel insults.
To their surprise...find out here..
Experiment # 2 : Sophisticated Scientific Experiment were carried out by Neuroscientist Greg Gage on Ted stage.
Neuroscientist Greg Gage takes sophisticated equipment used to study the brain out of graduate-level labs and brings them to middle- and high-school classrooms (and, sometimes, to the TED stage.) Prepare to be amazed as he hooks up the Mimosa pudica, a plant whose leaves close when touched, and the Venus flytrap to an EKG to show us how plants use electrical signals to convey information, prompt movement and even count.
Experiment # 3 : Famous CIA polygraph expert, Cleve Backster
In 1966, Cleve Backster hooked up a galvanometer to the leaf of a dracaena, a houseplant that he kept in his office.
To his shocking surprise, Backster found that simply by imagining the dracaena being set on fire, he could actually make it rouse the needle of the polygraph machine. A surge of electrical activity was then recorded. After repeated experiments on constant and enclosed activities, he concluded that actually plant does have feeling...of stress.
Beckster and his collaborators went on testing dozens of plants, including bananas, lettuces, onions, and oranges. He claimed that plants does react to human's thoughts (evil and good). For more details, check out here
Cleve Backster
