Today was a weird day, full of drama and unhappy thoughts. The reasons are not important, the only thing that matters is I found my peace. As a nature lover, I run to the woods often, to clear my mind, listen to wind sound and asking myself "who are we, why are we?" and other deep stuff that crosses my mind. Hope nobody will think I'm crazy, just a "normal" dude here:)
Was researching an interesting thing about these "Ginkgo biloba" trees and it's just fascinating how they work and how powerful can a tree actually be. In fact, it took some time for it but was more than happy to search out some of the most beautiful photos of it and I will also share some knowledge about history and nature in general. We will also have a laugh or two, of course, all @good-karma here.☀
The Ginkgo tree or the Maidenhair tree is the only living kind in the division "Ginkgophyta", all others are extinct, unfortunately. Some kinda fossil trees dating way back, even 200+ million years. Originally discovered in China. The older Chinese name for this plant is 銀果, meaning "silver fruit", that sound nice, where is the "gold" one? That supposed to be a joke:)The popular cultivar "Autumn Gold" is a clone of a male plant, but it doesn't give any seeds. All are very tough plants when I say tough, that really means that. Everything you imagine x 1000. Surviving a nuclear war? YES! Really, some science facts say that the Hiroshima explosion generated 400 times the suns heat in those few seconds, these trees are wooden, right?:)
It was mind boggling to understand how could they survive such a "wave" of destruction, obviously, they were harmed but healed back very quick. We are talking about giant trees. Growing over 40meters in height. Who through generations took some "abuse", maybe human or natural. It made them overcome all the stress of the world, and push through it in the worst times. See, if more people would think and work in this fashion, well, the world would a better place.
Some planted trees at temples are over 1,500 years old maybe even more. A special status in Buddhism means it's also widely planted in Korea and parts of Japan. Europe, the US and other parts of the world grow it for a few hundred years now. I also found out it has some healing powers, called also the prehistoric herb.
A must watch material.
The winter, we cling to our own point of view, as though everything depended on it. Yet our opinions have no permanence. Like autumn and winter, they gradually pass away. - Zhuangzi (Chinese - Philosopher)
The nuts inside the seeds are particularly e-steemed:) in Asia and are a traditional Chinese food. Seems cool!
Prepare these nutssss, lolz... If you know the joke about "deezz nuts", well you have to laugh right?:) In just a few minutes find out how can you do it. And have a great @nug for your effort. ( •_•)💙
(• ε •) I had a great time making this post, and hope you enjoyed it. Maybe having a bad day? Nature will never let you down, wherever you are:))
😉 Why would you be crazy when thinking as we all do. Just some others will not admit that they think about that. And they can feel superior about that, hehe. We good man, we good :-)
At first sight of the picture i thought is a place where you live in weekends. I saw after the second paragraph that is not your... homeland :-)
I heard long time ago about them and also took some vitamins or how are they called as some doctors prescribe them.
Hmm, surviving that nuclear war... it can be made as shelters for that situation. Although, i didn't know that till now.
It is nice how nature keeps showing us new old things all the time. In this case, they live so much, they help us in so many ways and they even enjoy our sights. What can we say, nature gives the best but if we don't respect it, it will can take back too.
I would love to have that trees around.
We all have nature around us but few enjoy it these nuts... aaaa, days.
"At first sight of the picture i thought is a place where you live in weekends. I saw after the second paragraph that is not your... homeland :-)"
Well, no... But would love to be there 2:) Amm I did stated in the post I searched the most "mojo" photos, I meant that online:))
Otherwise agreed with every single word you typed:))

You like to play a lot with markdown. Do you use a standalone version and paste it here at the end or just here?
And, was a reason that you wrote it italic almost all text?
I play with it outside and here... Depends whats better at the "moment" :P
Yeah, I like it better, thats why... lolz:))
Take care Bud;)
gg then and good [markdown] :-))
tks
Beautiful yellows! The fourth image looks a lot like a "weeping willow" tree -- but the branches do seem the same as the other images. Does it have a growth on it or something?
Thanks for taking the time to do this!
Ty Brotha!
Hmmm I was very careful with all the pics making double checks and stuff. But I'm only human:)
Could be, if it is, my bad... But I'm like 99% sure its a Ginkgo tree :))
