Geodes are round halloow rocks with sparkling crystals in the inside. They are found throughout the world but mostly found in deserts, volcanic ash beds, or regions containing limestone.
We did our first trip to Iowa. 4 hour drive from Chicago to Iowa (love road trips) love the drive views.....Our mission "hunting for geodes" we camped in Wildcats Spring the hiking experience was amazing!
Our mission was a success!!!!!
Geodes were easy to spot mostly everywhere.
