If people are going to travel to these places to see animals in the wild anyway (and they are), tourists might as well use their money to support keeping these animals alive and well for future generations.

I absolutely agree. I really prefer when these types of wildlife tourism operators also donate certain percentages of their profits to conservation efforts that actually do something to take care of the species they are using.
