@javybar, Wow...I appreciate you know more about meditation. Are you study buddhist or hindu culture. I know more about meditation steps coz am real Buddhist. Its Sinhala meaning is "Bhawana". I agreed your points. If we think something before tell to our nature. If she like these thought she will respond to you in many ways that you would not even imagine. So before all we need to love our nature. Try to preserve nature.
If I have to find cool and silence location I can meditate there. But without noises better. Heard only nature sounds. Firstly be mind coolest and mind bring to one point. Think only on thing. never think more. Then we can change those object to positive thought. After think forward and then we moved to nature. Now we really meditate deeply. After we can control our thoughts. We'll can go success way.
