Walking in the forest I came across this crazy looking tree. Turns out its called a knob wood tree.
Even ferns manage to grow on its sides.
Angled to the side you can see just how crazy these armaments are.
Here is another with a less dense packing of protection marking the path of the hike.
cool. The most oldest tree in the world is present in California. It is almost 5,000 years old.
