Baldy mountain at one point was 8 days away during my trek of Philmont Scout Ranch. The summit feels so far away yet so extremely close.

As our trek continues and we hike more and more every day. We are constantly reminded of our final destination Baldy Mountain. As we hike more and the days go by as the anticipation rises Baldy feels closer.

At last we have gotten to the bottom of Baldy Mountain where we will stay the might under the mountain humbled by the sheer height of this Mountain. As we go to sleep the night before we know what is happening tomorrow we are going for the summit.
5:30 am we wake up ready to take on this Mountain our final test we are ready. We began on the trial sooner then later we are hit with intensely steep trial we continue on. We have broken tree line and we have the summit in sight.

The air is thin every breath is felt down in your lungs. The muscles in our legs have caught fire from the continued intensity the trail throws at you. But this exhaustion will not stop us the only thing pushing us to continue is the sight of the top the Summit is just out of reach. After pushing our selves to the the limit we are her at the Summit

Once at the top the world your mind puts everything into a slow motion. you are instantly healed from all of the pain from the journey to the top. The anticipation from your first day on the trial 9 days prior has been sealed. The feeling of accomplishment the sight of the mountains in a 360 degree look is breathtaking and unexplained. You have did it you reached the summit.

This was my journey of Baldy Mountain from this summer. Please let me know if you enjoyed this post and if you have any suggestions for future posts.
