did you know? / flamingo

Did you know flamingos aren’t always pink?

They are born grey.

Throughout their lives, their feathers turn pink because of a natural pink dye called canthaxanthin that exists in their food — brine shrimp and blue-green algae.

It brings a whole new meaning to the saying “you are what you eat”!!

I know that humans can also turn orange from eating too many carrots!

I wonder what other foods could change our coloring ...

??!?
