EASTERN FENCE LIZARD (Sceloporus undulatus)

in #nature6 years ago

We love these little guys!

For a while now, we've been seeing these little lizards scampering around this spring. As far as local lizards go, this species is certainly impressive. While relocating some rocks on the property, we encountered this one.

It looks like it's been through a bit during its young life, since part of its tail is missing. Thankfully, the lizard is still alive and well, and we hope that it'll be helping with pest control on our property, and that it'll be quick enough to avoid becoming a meal for the chickens or Guinea Fowl. Enjoy the photos!
