I hadn't seen anything like this in years.
While out for a stroll with a good friend on Father's Day, we noticed a field full of Milkweed. To make things even better, many Monarch caterpillars were feasting on the leaves, and the next generation was growing up.
With the recent decline in pollinators in general and specifically Monarchs, it was refreshing to stumble upon such a habitat. Hopefully many more fields of Milkweed are out there and we'll be able to preserve this species for the generations to come.
"HOPE FOR THE MONARCH" VIDEO
I love those animal videos, I think they do a great job these animals for the environment
Monarch butterflies are wonderful things! It’s so great to see nature flourishing like this. This area looks like such a clean and perfect environment for them. A great place to forage for milkweed too - it has a bunch of uses ( being used to treat some snake bites amongst other things )
That's great to hear! To little butterflies, go!

Excellent close up shots! It is always fun when I see one stopping by my yard!
I love it when I hear of people planting milkweed in their yards and gardens! Great video!
Nice video , Wonder who the nice looking bearded guy in the background is??
@papa-pepper just wanted to say "Thanks" for all of your finds and your outlook. Where I started most folks still think 'Milkweed" is a horible thing. With the CRIMINALS from Monsanto, (now Bayer) creating GM seeds it is becoming harder for any polinator to survive.
Personal battle cry, "When the 3 B's are gone, that is the end" Birds, Butterflies and Bees. I keep trying to get flowering plants to grow, but when it hits a 114f temp it is kinda hard...
Love these guys!! Thanks for the post.
