Meinig Memorial Park IMAGINATIVE WONDERS

in #nature7 years ago

I was in Sandy Oregon today and this is the most amazing kids play ground I have ever seen! It was built in 1995 with gorgeous wood. It had so many nooks and crannies of imaginative stimulation. I could see castles, ships, tree forts and Ewok village hours of fun to be had in this architecture.

What fun hide-and-seek to be had in all these small passageways in the under story of this structure.

Do you see that adorable red boat to pretend to sail in?
Do you see that built in circle stage? What a healthy community space!

It even had those sliding monkey bars..... where you could grab the hanging handle and launch yourself from one platform to another.

I wish I could have seen this when it was first built. How did this noise maker work?

What an awesome playground! I would have killed for something like that as a kid...

Right! Well it was so special walking those planks Stiring up a faint memory of being here as a child. We must have stopped here on the way to Mt Hood sometime when I was young.
