On the Canary Islands, where I lived for a periode of seven years, you will find so much inspiration from mother nature. From the stems of the palm leaves, for example, I made elephants.
I also used dried flowers in a painting.
Creating an island of twigs and what I found on the beach.
The bark of the eucalyptus tree is art in itself. Works very inspiringly.
When it rains on the islands in the winter, wild rivers sometimes form, where it otherwise will be dry. The advantage is that all sorts of things from the mountains are then rinsed down. Interesting pieces of wood, roots, etc. In combination with the volcanic stones, it takes little imagination to recognize the art of mother nature.
A coconut can also be painted nice, or the stones I found on the beach. Some stones were painted with the ancient signs of the Guanchen, the primal inhabitants of Tenerife.
Sometimes a few dried leaves were enough.
I always say: 'My Fantasy is my Fortune.'

Thank you Lyndsay. This painting was one of the first sold on my exhibition.
Nice work! The first one looked like a mermaid tail you mounted on the wall, LOL. Still very nice work!
