The size of the lake is not so impressive, the length is only around 600 meters.
But the colour is the thing that will amaze most people.
As far as i know, they are still not sure what cause the colour, but the main theory is some bacteria.
They have also mined salt from this lake, but not any more.
When i read about the salt mining, the first that came to my mind(because of the colour) is flamingos that also mostly live around salt lakes, and get their pink colour from bacteria
s in those lakes.
So my guess is that it is the same bacteria that gives this lake its colour.
