Hopefully this puts a dent in the market. China, and southeast Asia in general, tends to be a pain for environmental activists but there has been progress in recent years. I'm still of the opinion that flooding the market with the synthetic ivory a group of scientists created a few years back (which is much safer than some other other proposals) would work well in concert with this approach. Drastically increase the supply and the price will plummet.
