No the fat seagulls around here hang around Burger King they're like 40 lb or something because they just eat people's discarded fast food all day it's crazy I just took my time slowly creeping up to this one.
Cool pictures! amazing that you were able to come so close.... I don't know if that is more normal in Canada, but here where I live they fly away long before you have the chance to come this close. Impressive shots again :)
Yeah they can sometimes act that way around here but the area where I was it's a very high traffic area so they're probably used to people and I crept up like one inch at a time stopping every time he looked like he was going to fly.
Probably they are more familiar to having people around them! And it sounds like you went through some trouble to get these pictures :) Definitely worth my upvote! Keep posting great content like this, I am a fan!

Why didn't it run away? What's your secret to not make them scared?
Move very slowly / smooth, stop moving altogether if the bird looks like its about to fly.
