Blue Wildebeest and Nyalas:
While strolling on the grounds of the beautiful Askari Lodge that my wife and I recently visited we bumped into a few Nyalas grazing on the lawn!! We saw this older male first, as you can see it is missing one of its horns, I wonder if it happened during a fight over a female??
Then later on we saw this younger one, just look at how beautiful she is, must be worth fighting for!!
On our way home we saw this heard of Blue Wildebeest in the felt. They were quite far and I had to use my iPhone's zoom function to its limit.
If you would like to read more about Nyalas or Blue Wildebeest just click on the blue links.
I hope you liked my post as much as I enjoyed writing it!!
All photos were taken with my iPhone at Askari Lodge just outside the town of Magaliesburg, South-Africa.

Oh... so these are Nyalas! Great pictures!
Beautiful creatures. Funny how tiny they look when they younger hey. Magalies really looks like a wonderful place for the outdoors. I haven't been yet, but it's on my bucket list.
We enjoyed it, Askari Lodge is really beautiful, and we did not even stay there (it is quite expensive to stay there), entrance is for free if you are just day visiting.
