This adventure first started when my colleague ask me if I want to join the climb. I've done some hiking before so i said yes, ill join.
Dec 3, 2017. That marked the day of the climb. We started around 4:30 am and according to our tour guide, we'll reach the peak by around 12 noon.
At first, I'm not sure myself if i can do this coz, honest, the last time that I clamber the boondocks what a long time ago. Plus, this is my first major climb. So, I had no option but to enjoy the moment.
Around 5 o'clock, while its still dark, we had a mini stopover for registration. There, I was fascinated of what I saw.!
Yes, its not just us who whet to that trail but many others. That gave me a boost, if they can, so do I! Aja... (Sorry for the dim pictures)
So, off we go.
It was around 5:30ish - quarter to 6:00 when the first ray of sun first shown. There, I realized, nature never fail in amusing me.
7:15. I was busy taking pictures when I realized that I'm running out of breath. Well, the group was (not just me) so we had our first stopover. There, I almost forgot that I'm a little bit anxious when we started.
"This is great" i said to my self. Now this is what "living in the moment" feels like
After 5 - 7 mins rest, off we go. The peak, after all, is our main goal😊
Around 7:30-ish, the trail lead us to a cliff that shown the foot of the ridge. Realizing that its not the peak and yet, with the superb view , gave me such fulfillment that I involuntary stated, I'll do this again!
What Am i saying? What fulfillment? Check on this photos.
So basically, this pictures were taken while we were on track. I hate to move forward without taking a good shot, if I saw one, but there were other climbers before me. So I decided to be the sweeper.
Enjoyed photos in this post? You must see the Part II here: https://steemit.com/nature/@sam-rt/tarak-ridge-challenge-accepted-legacy-continues

Those are good shots. I could only imagine the fascination you felt. It is a good thing you you were not struck by leeches. Lol. It is a good feeling to be one with nature and you exhibited it. To future adventures my friend!
Yeah, there no such thing in the trail itself. But i was able to see one of these.
I'm not so sure if this is a leech or not.
