Great article, and I totally agree!! I think it can border on "abusive" when adults put so much mental toil and weight on those tiny shoulders, about everything from pollution, climate to even politics! Let kids be kids!! And I think kids naturally tend to be environmentally conscious in their own ways, if we let them...

EXACTLY. Kids really can't comprehend the politics, and I don't think its developmentally appropriate in the first place!

I think kids need to grow up watching their parents making good choices, and then they follow suit. I saw many parents lug their kids to the Nature Center where I worked so that we could "fix," them, but it didn't make a bit of difference if it didn't happen at home. For me, my Dad let me "be a kid" exploring the forest near our house. I developed a love for the outdoors, but he had to take me there. :)
