When Brian and I moved out to Las Vegas we were extremely excited about it. We were anxious to move in together and start a new chapter in our lives. I must admit the first couple of months were extremely rough on us and we both had our breakdowns. I was missing home (Kansas City, Missouri), my friends, family and much more. Brian has done everything to keep me happy and comfortable and I will always love him for that. We both came to the conclusion that Vegas is not for us. We want to move to a different state perhaps Colorado and find a home, and enjoy the local atmosphere. Vegas has been overwhelming and we hate the superficial feel that it comes with. Everything is about money, glamorous clubs, casinos and there is nothing for locals.. which sucks. Instead of being negative, we decided to explore our surrounding before we leave. Nevada has the most amazing and beautiful national parks I have ever been to. I learned that we have to dig deep and explore our surroundings instead of just complaining about the city you live in. I am currently still working on that, I catch myself complaining or being negative instead of just brushing it off and look into the positives. Brian and I took a 40 minute drive down to the Valley of Fire State Park and it was absolutely beautiful. If you are visiting Las Vegas I recommend that you take a break from the chaos at the Strip and take a drive down this breathtaking State Park.
"Now I see fire, inside the mountain I see fire, burning the trees and I see fire, hollowing souls and I see fire, blood in the breeze and I hope that you'll remember me.." -Ed Sheeran (I See Fire) I was singing this song all throughout my hike. It was perfect!

This man takes my breath away each and every single day. I never had the chance to explore nature until he came into my life. He's taken me to places that I've never been to before. When you are searching for a partner make sure they fulfill your heart and challenge you to experience things you've never done before. Brian has taught me how to get out of my comfort zone. Exploring with him is one of my favorite things to do.
When I make it to the top I feel like I can conquer anything and you can't beat that view. If you guys ever get the chance to climb a mountain do it! it is one of the most satisfying things ever.
