Haha, that's a good point! However, I'm pretty sure it can't have been hiding for over 80 years without being noticed, so I guess it is safe to assume its extinction by now.

I think Pumas are really incredible type of this family and i don't want to think about their extinction. But logically you are right. I'm too emotional when it comes to animals, especially cats :)
Hehe, most of us animal lovers tend to think with our emotions when we hear bad news about any species ;)
Well at least we have a brand named Puma to remind us how cool they were.
Just to clarify, it is only the subspecies Eastern cougar (Puma concolor cougar) that is extinct, not the puma/cougar itself (Puma concolor) :)
That's a good point. I sounded like i categorized all of them in a same group. Thanks for the correction.
