This orchid has been blooming since about Dec 1st when I bought it.
I took these photos in the morning sunlight streaming in my kitchen window
My sweet hubby had to have emergency surgery to repair a tear in his retina this past Friday.
Same eye as the October 2018 surgery.
He needs a bionic eye, like the Bionic Woman - wasn't she the one that had it or was it the Six Million Dollar Man?

Yes orchids do bloom a long time! Yes I guess the greenhouses get them to bloom in the winter and sell them to the grocery stores!! Mine always do great in my sunny kitchen! My husband is just resting up now. Has to take it easy and be careful not to put extra pressure or strain on his eye!

Hey @janton, he is still taking it easy and laying down a lot and it is now 12 days since the surgery!
