A great successful effort indeed.
But continues monitoring for rodents is needed in future, to prevent them from returning.
I am sure the project team do have a follow up plan up their sleeve. ..

Yes, they should really create a follow-up where they monitor for new rodents every summer. Because it will be much easier to get rid of them if they find them the first or second year, instead of after 5+ years. But yes, they seem like a smart group, so they probably have plans for this already :)

Yeah easier to control the first generations of rodents. ..but once they start reproduction they multiply pretty fast...
So after 5 years who knows how many ....

Yeah, especially at places like this were they don't have any natural predators who prevent their population from growing extremely high.
