I took this shot of some people fishing underneath some giant maples down at Silver Lake down in Washington State. Silver Lake Park, Washington State, USA . What is everyone's favorite season? I have come to 'fall' in love with autumn since moving to Canada. Its something we don't have to anywhere near the same extent in Australia.

beautiful autumn colors !!
Those colors are indeed beautiful! Also love the composition - tiny humans being dwarfed by mother nature.
Autumn is definitely my favorite season. I'm the opposite of you, I grew up with lush seasons and am now in Los Angeles which has boring sunny skies the majority of the year.
I could do with some boring sunny skys at the moment ;-)
Congratulations on being a WINNER in the Trees Tuesday Nature Photo Contest! See the ANNOUNCEMENT POST. :)
Trees in the morning light
This is from an airplane ride that I did over Butte, Montana with/for a client.
Wow thats cool. Almost looks like the change of seasons but its just the last light.
Love the light pockets!
Congratulations on being a WINNER in the Trees Tuesday Nature Photo Contest! See the ANNOUNCEMENT POST. :)
I took this photo while on holidays while at Bargara in Queensland, Australia. We were on our way back to our accommodation, we weren't anywhere special but we drove past a plot of land that had a heap of dead trees on it. Their trunks were beautiful but with the stunning sunset resting behind it, I just had to stop and take some photos.
You don't always have to be somewhere special to get a beautiful photo... it's about finding the extraordinary in the ordinary...
Love the sunset gradient in the sky! And trees are both beautiful alive or dead. There’s a cool spot in Alaska just outside of Girdwood of spruce trees out in the water off the highway that got flooded during the 1964 earthquake.
Thanks! Oh in water would be nice!! This area was a bit swampy, it wasn't a nice location at all. It was on a farm property, it had a heap of stuff laying around, it was a bit junky really. But the sunset was beautiful against the trees! : )
Congratulations on being a WINNER in the Trees Tuesday Nature Photo Contest! See the ANNOUNCEMENT POST. :)
Thank you for the heads up @shadalene, I saw your new post first! :D
You do an amazing job, all thanks to you!!
Taken at my local bracken filled woodland, Shouldham Warren, I like the subtle tones and leading line in this image.
Larches - High as a sky... Picture taken during my hike to Rogie Falls waterfall on Black Water river in Scottish Highlands few weeks ago.

Nice. So many packed into such a small space.
They like it :). And this is also an effect of wide angle lens 16mm.
Ooh, cool perspective! Trippy. Great lens choice.
Thank You!

I loved walking around in the forest when there was all this fog, it looked so magical!
Wow, this has a great atmosphere!
Can't stop the x-files music in my head now :)
Thank you, hahaha I can see that!
Fog always creates the best depth in photos. Beautiful.
Thank you so much!
@vtravels, are you interested in judging Flora and Fauna Friday next week? Simple Sunday might also be open (waiting for someone to choose between two options).
Yes I would love to @shadalene , whichever is fine by me, let me know how etc! :)

Glad you're participating, @akinome! You are more than welcome to put the link in the comment, but we need the photo here as well. :) Thanks!
Oh sorry, I did not know that! Thank you for the note and for the warm welcome.
No problem!
Wow, the patterns are awesome on the scar. Neat looking tree!
I wonder about the age of the tree and its story of survival...
"The Struggle is Real"
Wow thats super bendy
Gnarly tree. ;)
This is my contest entry for this week's Trees Tuesday.
I took this image just two days ago while walking through the forest in the early morning hours. Fog was still very persistent and the sun gradually burned through it which resulted in some awesome lighting situations, like this.
I named this image The breach :)
Love this one mate.
Hah - thanks again!
Looking forward to your submission :)
And que the godly music effect. Lovely light breach!
Have I got a tree for you! This is one of my favorite trees (I love trees!!!). I found this lonesome path and followed it. It led to an ancient cemetery - so ancient that the stones and monuments were dis-shoveled, cracked and fallen over - I spent a considerable amount of time reading all the human stories and was rather overwhelmed by them - feeling a little heavy in my heart. Then I saw another lonesome path - I thought twice about exploring it as it took me deeper into the brush and I was alone...but I did with my heart pounding as I continued on. I suddenly noticed a clearing leading to the sound and I could hear the waves lapping against the shore. As I made it to this beautiful sight as the sun was beginning to set, I turned to my right and was engulfed by the presence of this amazing tree. It literally took my breath away for a moment! I visit it every year :)
Its amazing how context changes the way you see something. Love the backstory for this.
Wow! It seems to keep going on and on. Cool!
Lonely tree in fog.
Love this one mate.
thank you !!
Oooh! Magnificent.
thanks !!
This is my favourite tree on the way to work. I took this shot a couple of days ago.
Something about trees in the snow. Majestic. I would enjoy my drive to work also. Awesome!
Thank you very much for this contest. This is my entry:
On a bicycle tour through the Thurgau (switzerland) apple orchards, I discovered this beautiful tree in bloom...
Wow! So much yellow! Pretty spot!
Thank you...It is really a beautiful place and there were so many bees in the tree that you could hear them from afar.
The end of trees - the shadow of a tree on timber pine logs:
I took this shot on a hike in the crown lands. There were a lot of these piles, ready to be collected.
Sad to see so many trees cut but wow! What a beautiful shot!
Congratulations on being a WINNER in the Trees Tuesday Nature Photo Contest! See the ANNOUNCEMENT POST. :)
The following tree can be seen in Sequoia National park. It reminds me a bit of a tree in Sleepy Hollow, where the rider disappears in the tree.
The Sequoia trees are wonders of nature, so tall, a person looks like nothing compared to the tree.
To show the grandness of the tree I selected a photo where my wife is with the tree, so you can see the difference in size.
Sequoia’s are beautiful creatures. Love this! And she’s so cute standing by the door!
Congratulations on being a WINNER in the Trees Tuesday Nature Photo Contest! See the ANNOUNCEMENT POST. :)
Haven't found more impressive trees than the ones in California. Look at the size of the roots!!! Amazing, they know it all.
Hey guys! I want to share these trees with you. They're located in a Bavarian national park, where I'm just spending few weeks - if you're interested read the whole story here .
Oooh!

During a walk around Rakotzsee with the picturesque Devil's Bridge I was stunned by this very contrast scene with the autumn tree touched by the evening sun and its reflection in the lake.
Always a fan of reflections and fall colors. Pretty!
Thanks! )

I found this beautiful tree while hiking in the foothills just east of San Jose California.

This tree a really old one. Captured this few days back on a beautiful sunset scenario. Goes without saying sunset adds up to the beauty of this tree.
Walking the dogs in the fog is every time again a real happening. You can't see what's in front of you, and make sure the dogs and I can stay safe is first priority. But seeing the beautiful trees come out of the fog is also priority ... so I couldn't resist taking this picture when I got home again.

I had gone for a walk near Rio Verde, Mexico and was walking throughout fields where locals were growing all kinds of things, especially oranges and the smell of oranges was everywhere. While I was walking I came across this scene.
