The Cleveland Cavaliers will look to make some adjustments when they visit the Golden State Warriors on Sunday night for Game Two of the NBA Finals. On Thursday, the Cavaliers were thoroughly outmatched during a 113-91 road loss against the Warriors. Cleveland turned the ball over 20 times which led to 21 points for Golden State. The Cavaliers managed to win the rebounding battle by a 67-60 margin.LeBron James led Cleveland with 28 points to go along with 15 rebounds and eight assists. Kyrie Irving contributed 24 points on 10-for-22 from the field in a losing effort for the Cavaliers.
The Golden State Warriors made quick work of the Cavaliers in the series opener and could make quick work of this series. Golden State built an eight point halftime lead and then outscored Cleveland 53-39 in the second half. The Warriors assisted on 31 of their 45 made field goals and turned the ball over an NBA Finals record low four times.
All-Star F Kevin Durant led all scorers with 38 points to go along with eight rebounds and eight assists. Steph Curry added 28 points and ten assists for the Warriors.
Both teams come into this matchup without any serious injury concerns. Cleveland looked lost in Game One and was outscored by a 56-30 margin in the paint. LeBron James turned the ball over eight times and must do a better job getting his role players going. The Cavaliers will make this a series, but it won’t be until they return home for Game Three.
