Paul George was recently traded to the Oklahoma City Thunder, but rumors of his departure are already in full force! Previous to him being traded it was widely reported that he would like to play for his hometown Los Angeles Lakers. Some people seem to think that the pairing of him along with Russell Westbrook might be intriguing enough for him to consider staying with OKC and trying to build a championship contender around those two. The most recent rumblings are that George still would like to play for the Lakers, especially if they are able to convince another star or two to join their mix next season. Lonzo Ball could end up being a huge factor in all of this if he starts showing flashes of brilliance that many people think will ultimately turn into him being a huge star. Only time will tell, but it's already not looking great for Oklahoma City fans.
I think if they make a deep run on the playoffs, and promise him they will acquire more talent then I think he will stay, but the Lakers will be a big player next summer with a large salary cap space.
May be their best shot at keeping Westbrook.
nice...
