RE: Why I respect so much @officialfuzzy and I consider what's happening is really unfair.

Thanks, being less than a month new on Steemit, I hadn't realized these kinds of issues happening. I was surprised and disheartened when one of my posts earned over $150, then slowly whittled down to $115.
I don't know who downvotes, and what they get out of it, but it appears rude to me.
I upvoted you. Follow me if you'd care to at @joe.nobel

your posts value likely shrank because the rewards pool shrank. you can see at the bottom of a post, click votes. if someone actually did downvote you there will be a minus and a name. everybodys post goes down in value before payout because of how rewards are calculated. I hope that helped.

It's not downvotes perse. The value you see below your post is potential payout and it is based on the reward pool which you share with everyone. It is also based on the value of Steem, which isn't always the same. That's why the potential payout is an estimate and it can fluctuate quite a lot. I've seen many a post go from $20 to $25 or from $20 to $15 throughout a week. I think this is what's happening to your post.

Downvotes (flags) are necessary to battle things like plagiarism. Yes, there are some 'flagging wars' between the big accounts from time to time, but most minnows who work hard, are fair and decent, and don't piss anyone off will not get flagged.
