Hello fellow needleworkers. After completing my last project..whick took several weeks, I considered doing something quick and simple. Well, this next project is both...plus it will add a complimentary look to my previous work.
There is a small cubbyhole above the pantry where I hung a doily that I made last year.
It doesn't match of course, but is only temporary until I finish the small curtain that I am working on. I used the pattern of a rose from the large curtain and the same border to draw the small curtain on graph paper.
I'm just about half finished already!
It's sure nice to crochet in a comfortable spot with a warm and furry armrest!
Happy #Needleworkmonday everyone!
Your crochet work is beautiful @anise, wish I had the patience!
Thanks Lizelle! I really enjoy it...my patience can wear thin in other areas though! Thanks for stopping by 😀
It is a good idea! These two curtains will be perfectly combined with each other! I wonder, what you'll do next)))
I wonder too....I have too many ideas and gardening season approaches! 😳
I love your work, although I can't make it but sometime I made other form with thread like bracelet. I will wait for the result.
Thank you! I appreciate you stopping by 😀
You're welcome, awesome
you have a great talent mam...☺ so amazing design...👌
Thank you so much
Wow, I can't take my eyes off the graph ! So neatly drawn. And may I say you look well rested with a very comfy arm rest lol! Your work always looks amazing. Happy needleworkmonday
I printed the graph on the computer and then filled in the squares with a pencil to make the flower and pattern. Thank you for the compliment 😀
My cat also always sits in my arms when I sew or do something else. Wonderful napkins, neat and very beautiful!
Thank you! Yes, what would we do without our furry friends! 💕
a great idea to make a second curtain in addition to the first. will look very nice! I see you have a very nice assistant in knitting :))))
Thank you! Yes, she is my constant companion and her fur can be found crocheted in everything I make! 🙄
A matching set we look so nice right there. I love your arm rest!
Thank you! Yes, she certainly likes to be as close as she can...nice when it's cold!
That will look great @anise. I look forward to seeing how it progresses.
Thank you..and thanks for your comment! 😀
That is going to be so nice to have a matching curtain up there!! Looks like you’ve got this thing down, almost done already!!
Thanks for sharing the picture of you and your cozy armrest!! You look so comfortable!!! 😁
This one seems like a cinch after the other one! I'm lucky to have a pretty comfortable life these days 😄
Ha I bet it does!!! You’re going to breeze through this one in no time.
Although I am enjoying my motherhood and parenting small children right now, I do look forward to those days where I can sit back, relax, kick my feet up for as long as I want and craft!!! 😍 Ah the life!!! 😄
Perfect! I was hoping you would do something to match.
Thank you! I think this is the last rose I will do for awhile 😀
This new piece you are working on is going to match perfectly with the one you just finished. Perfect! Happy #NeedleworkMonday to you, my dear!
Thanks!🌷
Great job!
I’m glad I got to see the finished project.
Thank you! 🌺
Such a beauty! How long did it take you to make a doily?
Thank you! The doily above is large and it took me about a week working an hour or two each day. It really depends on the size and complexity. The curtain went faster because filet crochet is much simpler to do.
I know the round doily is only temporally, but I think on the photo it looks like an art installation. I love the complementing forms of circle and rectangle. And the darkness of the cupboard is a perfect background for the white crochet 💕
Thank you! It is a vintage pattern and I believe it was originally designed to fit on top of the old square box tv. I really like the design too!
Your work is just gorgeous!
Thank you kindly!
That's a really good idea for a co-ordinated kitchen. I like your helper!
Thank you! Yes, she is a good friend and never too far from me 💕
