This beautiful blue hedgehog was a very special order, because a customer after looking in several countries this beautiful character, I can not get it, only in the United States, but in plastic and she wanted a Sonic with which his son could sleep, so knowing that I can knit everything I see I made this special order for the birthday of his son, that this June 8.
Because creating your own pattern takes time, while knitting and weeding many times, until you achieve the desired shape, I started to do it with time, so that it is ready on the day of the birthday.
As you can see in the image, I managed to knit in 5 days until the body, in the next post we will mount the elaboration of the head, since as I said it to create an own pattern takes time, and in 5 days I managed to make feet, legs, hands, arms and body, the most similar possible to this beautiful character.
Sonic's history
At the end of the 1980s, video games were dominated by Nintendo, mainly Super Mario Bross. Sega devised a new character, replacing his usual mascot, Alex Kidd, in order to prevail as much as possible: Sonic the Hedgehog, the first video game in the history of Sonic, was born in 1991 at the hands of AM8.
Sonic was the first videogame character to appear in a Thanksgiving parade, and was even as popular as Disney's Mickey Mouse (which is amazing).
Of course, all the success Sonic was having could not only stay in video games, but had to go beyond. There is a large part of the public, especially children, who do not have access to video games because of their young age, but nevertheless, they are a potential and target audience for the Hedgehog. For this reason, several television series have been made over the years starring Sonic and his colleagues.
Sonic's first television appearance was in The Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog in 1993. It was aimed at this young audience due to the tone used in the series. It also became quite well known because at the end of each episode, Sonic would give some civic advice to the viewers. In a "Sonic Says" kind of way.
Sonic The film adds to the wave of adaptations that are taking place, and it comes at just the right time. One in which mainstream cinema needs to be as open as possible (if that makes any sense) so that its millionaire projects work at the box office and keep the industry going.
Steps to knitting Sonic
First the shoes are woven in red, with the insole in white, as shown below:
Then the legs are woven, with a width of 12 low points, as shown in the following picture:
We weave the accessories the white strip and the socks and incorporate them into the shoe and feet respectively, as shown below:
Then we start with the fingers to weave the hand and then the arm, as you can see in the following picture:
Having the legs and arms ready, we join the legs with 3 chains and start weaving the body, where the arms are also incorporated, as shown below:
Then we weave in skin color his chest, to finish his body
