Needle work Monday. Power House inspired messenger.

Homage to the Power House that is @zord189

This is my latest stitching / felting / crafting / upcycling effort.

PSX_20190319_061417.jpg

It is an upcycled messenger bag.

Made from off cuts of old jeans and chinos and felt.

The design is inspired by the #powerhousecreative logo that @zord189 designed.

I am going to rock it proudly. 💃

I haven't steemed very much of late.

I think a lot about posting, but circumstances that are too boring to keep talking about have prevented me from doing so many things I want to do.

Even basic things.

When things are difficult the little tasks become huge and more significant. Both the challenges and the triumphs become magnified.

Impact from people, even small gestures of kindness can make a big difference.

Perhaps you have said a quick hi today on discord or left a comment on a post.

For someone that may equate a significant degree of their interactions for the day.

Tread kindly and remember that your words have impact.

The powerhouse people have been very kind to me.

Perhaps you know @zord189 as the banner guy.

I lifted this from his post, it is by @pinstory, I hope they don't mind my taking the liberty (it's cute.).

I have ordered a banner myself, Zord is still waiting patiently for my info. I am a procrastinator at the best of times.

Check out his amazing banners. He is practically giving them away.

As well as being an incredible Animator @zord189 is one of the leading steemians in the #powerhousecreative discord community.

Steemit continues to introduce me to the global goodness that resides in people.

This reminder is important to me as my "real" world continues to be quite restricted due to physical limitations.

Thanks for Steeming with heart and integrity Zordman!

Here are some ... Not so much process shots, as action shots.

Both a menace and a blessing at the moment.

@girlbeforemirror,

No images at the moment ... which I suspect are rather important in this post. I shall return in the morn.

BTW, Marg is right: @zord189 is a great fellow.

your baby pooch has gotten big :D

She has. She is still a giant baby. She is five months old now. Less bitey, more diggy.
Likes eating rocks and poo, and rocks that look like poo. We have removed a lot of plants after she removed many herself. I was worried, we have many plants, I don't know a poisonous weed from a nutritious herb. I'm learning dogs can't tolerate some things too. Grapes for instance?? Killer grapes.
My daughter went to puppy preschool with her at the vet. They graduate a couple of weeks ago, along with 3 pugs, a Labradoodle and a cattledog. Very cute.
I also recently acquired some wheels tyg! Fatwheel shoperider, Flag and all. I haven't taken it out yet.
I must watch one of your videos out and about, and get brave.

yes dealy are , grapes , chocolate , coffee , for some dogs onions and garlic so best leave them out period , raisins even more than grapes . tou better get out there :D <3 and so good to hear from you <3

Hi tyge
I feel I may have jinxed myself and hexed my pooch when I spoke lightly of the ingestion of objects.
We had a disastrous day yesterday! 😩
She had a big gnarly rock stuck at the back of her pallet. Then she swallowed it...
X-ray showed 4 rocks and wire...
😥

:( is she ok ? labs are knw to eat stuff they should not ...so always make sure everything is baby proof

It has been tough to Billie proof.
Baby proofing was much easier. She has a problem . Bordering on pica. We a trying to clear safe space , but we are living near national park bushland. Stopping her from accessing sticks and rocks is going to be hard.
I have kept her on a lead outside. Each time I take her off she runs for anything she can quickly swallow. We had a few scary days of monitoring for obstruction and inspecting her... Business. I was shocked at the debris. Several Plastic, sticks, wire, tiles... My poor baby.

ok get her a muzzle one of the soft kinds like from bumas

put it on her when she goes off leash it might help <3

What a fabulous idea for a bag! Great job on this! 😃

It looks like a nice hand bag. Much better than the one of my relatives paid 800 dollars for at the duty free shop.

Did you hand stitched this??😱🤪🤢🤢😱 The emojis show you how much I love hand stitching (not at all) but I admire everyone who has the patience to do do it. I have so many finished knitted things which I should sew up, but .... ahhhhhh You see, I really dislike the sewing part (with a machine its ok)
Your bag worked out great, I love the colours and the logo is also lovely, especially the ornaments outside the big circle. And the dark lines between the middle ornaments are a clever addition.
But most of all: it is lovely to hear form you 😍💕😍

Lovely bag! Great idea to sew the logo onto it - really creative. And I think your puppy was disappointed that you didn't make a toy to play with. Of course, everything is a toy if you see the world with a dog's eyes ;)
