I decided to re-purpose a crib cushion. I am hoping that I find a baby changing station at the thrift store. I have seen several when I visited the thrift store but I did not see a need for them at the time.
Originally, I thought about using this crib mattress as a pallet for my grandson when he spends the night with me.
My grandsons have never spent the night with me unless I was at their home. 😁
That is why I used some very pretty fabric that I have with flowers printed on it.
I measured how much fabric I would need to cover the mattress and then decided to use a jacket zipper that I already had.
This zipper separates into two parts, which will allow me to remove and wash the cover easily.
I also left space inside the cover, because I intend to wrap the mattress with polyester fiber fill.
This was a quick and easy project for today using materials that I already had available.
Enjoy your day.

You are a real pro in inserting a zipper, this looks so neat! I admire this (and will work on learning)
