RE: Standing up for myself when the store screwed up, and juggling fiber projects. Happy #NeedleworkMonday :)

The yellow/blue quilts are wonderful!!!! I cannot express how much I love them, especially the eggshell colour with the soft yellow is such a good match and I love that they are subtly different but nevertheless have the same style: beautiful.
And the complaining... I had to laugh. My mother is a little bit like your husband I think. She is very frank with her opinion and often this helps her to get what she wants. I am normally not a shy person but complaining - ugh. I find this more than unpleasant. So, I applaud you to your intervention in the fabric shop, because you overcome your feelings and fought for your right (and you won :-DDD).
And with the yarn... yarn buying is simply such a joy, that even the smallest reason justifies it (or so I tell myself) I think I am not only a cookie monster but also a yarn monster: yaaaaarrrnnnn!!!!

I'm glad you like the soft yellow on those quilts! It's silly to have the doubt about that still bug me long after the recipients got the quilts and loved them😆 but it does anyway! I had to back every chevron piece with white muslin to keep the seam allowances from showing, because the fabric was so thin. That's the main reason I didn't want to use it again this time around.

Now I laughed at your description of your mother getting what she wants by being frank with her opinion. That does describe the Husband perfectly as well. I've been amazed at some of the things he's pulled off as far as discounts by being outspoken!
